What this notice covers
This notice explains what we collect through this website, the governance self-assessment and the Inclusion Pledge, why we collect it, who can see it, and the rights you have.
What we collect
Through the governance self-assessment we collect your organisation’s name and type, the approximate size of its board, the name, role and work email address of the person completing the form, and your answers and written reflections. If you sign the Inclusion Pledge we also collect the commitments you make and, where you consent, your organisation’s name and logo. If you contact us we collect your name, email address and message. We do not ask for special category personal data about individuals. Please do not include personal data about named individuals in your written reflections.
How we use your information
We use your information to give you your private governance health check and the resources matched to it, to respond to you, and to improve the Boardroom Navigator. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests. We also use self-assessment answers to build an anonymised, sector-wide picture of governance practice as part of the Seat at the Table research programme. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests. This research never identifies your organisation. Where you sign the Inclusion Pledge and give consent, we publish your organisation’s name, logo and commitment. Our lawful basis is consent.
Your self-assessment answers are private to your organisation. Nothing that identifies your organisation is published unless you sign the Inclusion Pledge and give your consent.
Automated results
Your health check result is generated automatically from your answers. It is a self-diagnostic to help you see where to focus. It has no legal or similarly significant effect on you or your organisation, and you can contact us to talk it through.
Spotlight profiles
The Spotlight profiles on this site feature women who serve on music industry boards. Their names, roles, photographs and words are published with their agreement in the Seat at the Table publication.
